Ann Gluse earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Carolina in 1985. She received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2000 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar the same year. She earned her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation in 2009.
Ann began her career in the financial services industry in 1990 with First Union where she worked until the completion of law school. After receiving her J.D., Ann practiced law focusing her practice in estate and wealth management planning. She joined SCBT in 2005 to manage the Trust Asset Management division. She has extensive experience in trust and estate administration.
Ann serves as Secretary of the Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law Section of the South Carolina Bar. She is co-chair of the South Carolina Bar’s Probate Code Revision Committee Article 3, Part 8 review and also served on the South Carolina Bar’s Committee studying the proposed Uniform Trust Code. Ann is a member of the Columbia Estate Planning Council and is immediate past chair of the SC Bankers Association Trust Committee.
Ann is active in community affairs and has most recently served on the Board of Directors of the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties and the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of South Carolina-Mountains to Midlands Region. She is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Columbia. Ann is a member of the Junior League of
Ann and her husband, Eric, have one daughter and live in Columbia where they are members of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Ann enjoys trail running, travel, gourmet cooking and watching her daughter grow.
